Marijuana Grow Operation Found in Windsor VT

In crime news out of nearby Windsor Vermont, authorities on Friday arrested two people for cultivating a marijuana grow operation in their apartment. On Friday morning, around 10 AM, the Windsor Police Department conducted an investigation into an alleged marijuana growing and distribution operation at an apartment at 153 Main Street, between the former fire station and the Cumberland Farms.

Inside, police found a grow operation with nearly 50 plants and arrested 53-year old Steven Mann and 25-year old Leona Hunt on charges of marijuana cultivation, possession of a hallucinogenic drug, posession of a stimulant, and cruelty to a child.

The Department of Children and Families took custody of a child who lived with the two residents. Police say that all 50 of the plants were confiscated and the amount of marijuana was estimated at a street value of around $75,000.

Additionally, multiple bags of marijuana packaged for sale, hallucinogenic mushrooms, hashish, and money were all confiscated from the scene
