Local Athletes Named to USA Today’s All-USA Football Team

We may be well removed from the high-school football season, but that didn’t stop a trio of local athletes from receiving a prestigious honor today from the USA Today.

The nationwide paper unveiled its annual 2015 All-USA football team Friday, where it highlights a select few players from all 50 states. And on the list of Granite State selections were three local football players after noteworthy senior seasons.

Leading off the list offensive lineman Austin Hogancamp, a 6-foot, 3, 250-pound senior on the Kearsarge football team. Hogancamp led the Cougars in tackles and sacs, playing a big role in the Division II team’s success this season.

From there, it was the Division II champions from Newport that landed two representative in running backs Noah Wade – who led the state in touchdown carries – as well as the team’s vocal leader in running back CJ Lawrence, who crossed the goal line with two touchdown’s in the Tifers’ championship win.
