Newbury Church Hosts Fundraising Concert for Harpist

We here at YCN are very much fans of the arts, which provide so much creativity and innovation to our region. With that in mind, this past weekend, we attended a concert by Newbury harpist Katelyn Croft, to benefit the purchase of a Concert Grand Pedal Harp which she will need when she graduates from Eastman School of Music in Rochester to further her professional career.

Katelyn is currently a Junior at the university and this weekend she played 15 selections to a crowd of over 50.

She is one of only 10 Harp students at the exclusive Eastman school of Music. She is continuing her fundraising efforts for this instrument and has a Facebook page set up for anyone interested in helping with this purchase which costs $33k.
