A relatively bizarre story out of Lempster as a couple was arrested over the weekend on charges of running a meth lab out of their South Pitkin Road home.
According to New Hampshire State Police, authorities received a report of suspicious activity as the 123 South Pitkin Road residence, prompting an investigation by the Attorney General’s Drug Task Force. A search warrant was executed shortly before 10 p.m. Saturday night, leading to the arrest of 36-year-old Joshua Bush and 31-year-old Heather Davis on charges of manufacturing Methamphetamine and Possession of a Controlled Drug.
The two were arraigned yesterday in Newport Circuit Court, and are scheduled to appear back in court Jan. 5 for a probable cause hearing.
Bush is currently being held on $100,000 dollars cash bail, while Davis is being held on $25,000 dollars bail. Anyone with information into the operation is asked to call State Police at (603) 358-3333.
