Speeding Violation Leads to Arrest on Drug Charges
In Vermont, a routine speeding violation in Rockingham ended with a 37-year-old Springfield man being arrested on drug charges.
According to a press release from Vermont State Police, officers pulled over Jeffrey Adamski along Route 5 near Interstate 91 due to excessive speed shortly before 11 o’clock Monday night. But during the stop, officers became aware of the presence of drugs, and found what they called a “civil” amount of marijuana on Adamski, as well as two grams of cocaine tucked into his sock.
It was not clear if the man alerted officers of the drugs, or if he consented to a search of his vehicle. Adamski was arrested for possession of cocaine, and transported to the Rockingham State Police barracks on Town Farm Road for processing.
He was then issued a citation to appear in Windham Superior Court later this month for his arraignment.
