The building that housed the former Hartford Motors car dealership across from town hall is on the verge of getting a new occupant after eight years of vacancy. And fittingly, it will be another car dealership filling the space when the Upper Valley Auto Mart opens its doors later this year.
The mart is owned by the Midstate Auto Group which operates several dealerships up in Barre, and will stock approximately 30 quality, low-mileage used cars.
Midstate Auto is owned by the Campbell family, who are originally from Bradford. General Sales Manager Jessica Campbell told the Valley News the family is “excited to have a business back in the Upper Valley.”
The dealership sits on a conveniently-located half-acre property on the corner of Maple and Pine Streets, and is still owned by Jim Flanagan, whose family operated the former Hartford Motors for 52 years.
