The Claremont Police Department has launched an investigation into offensive graffiti found Tuesday at the Planned Parenthood health center on Pleasant Street.
According to a press release, employees discovered black spray-paint on the building’s front window with the word “murder” written on it, and a drawing depicting the figure of a baby. Planned Parenthood of Northern New England VP Jennifer Frizzell said in the press release that the crime was the first in New Hampshire since the recent escalation of attacks against the organization.
Frizzell said Planned Parenthood remains committed to the safety, privacy, and security of both their patients and their dedicated and skilled staff, and is working closely with local law enforcement to hold those accountable responsible for their acts.
The Claremont facility has been in operation for nearly 40 years, and serves approximately 1,000 women and men each year.
