Local Pub & Grille in New London Takes Top Spot in Craft Beer Survey

A local brewery was given an unexpected honor this week after earning the top spot in a survey ranking New Hampshire’s best craft breweries. The Flying Goose Brew Pub & Grille on Andover Road in New London ranked first among 15 breweries in the Granite State as voted by viewers of WMUR and its website. The restaurant began in 1993 as the Four Corners Grille, before owner Tom Mills changed the name after installing micro-brewing equipment.

Today, we spoke with Rik Marley who goes by the titles Brew Master, Brewery Manager, and Brewer Extraordinaire. We asked him about his start at Flying Goose and what they offer.

The Flying Goose also sells beer to go by way of 64-ounce growlers. There was a tie for third place in WMUR’s poll between North Hampton’s Throwback Brewery and North Woodstock’s Woodstock Inn & Station, while Dover’s Garrison City Beerworks took the number two spot.
