Public Forum Held on Affiliation of Alice Peck Day and DHMC

A follow up on the proposed partnership between Alice Peck Day Memorial Hospital and the Dartmouth-Hitchcock health care system. Approximately 20 people showed for a public dialogue on the proposed affiliation last night, discussing potential pros and cons of the partnership, and the state health care in the Upper Valley.

If state officials approve the agreement which is expected to be filed later this month, Alice-Peck Day would become Dartmouth-Hitchcock’s newest affiliate, and shift a large number of APD’s 300 births per year may to Dartmouth-Hitchcock Center.

APD would continue to offer pre- and post-natal care, and expected routine births.

APD President Sue Mooney said in a press release announcing the proposal that APD continues to believe an affiliation with Dartmouth-Hitchcock represents the best way for APD to continue to exist and serve the Upper Valley.
