River Valley Community College Acquires Lebanon Building

River Valley Community College is adding yet another community to its service area. The college, whose main campus is located right here in Claremont, announced earlier this week that it will begin offering classes in Lebanon beginning in August of 2016.

RVCC’s parent company, the Community College System of New Hampshire, purchased two buildings of the now defunct Lebanon College for $1.6 million dollars with help from a 40-year loan through the U.S. Department of Agriculture Rural Development program.

River Valley Community College president Dr. Alicia Harvey Smith was at the Lebanon location with the city manager and various other state and federal officials to make the announcement. RVCC also has a campus in Keene.
