Kentucky Senator and presidential candidate Rand Paul made a campaign stop this past Saturday at the Village Pizza.
Around lunch time, about 50 people from around the area including the towns of Newport, New London, and Sunapee travelled through the snow to have pizza, shake hands with the senator, and talk with Paul one on one.
Topics of conversation ranged from foreign policy, ISIS, tax cuts, cutting the size of the United States government, fellow presidential candidates Trump and Christie, and of course, the New England Patriots. Rand Paul was in Londonderry and Manchester earlier in the day and headed to Hanover afterwards.
To round out his tour he hosted a Patriots Watch Party in Concord, New Hampshire. Now that’s one way to win the hearts and minds of New Englanders.
