New Hampshire’s largest newspaper, the Union Leader, has been cut from hosting a future Republican debate in partnership with ABC.
The debate, scheduled for February 6th, will take place in Manchester at St. Anselm College and is the only debate where Republicans will face off in the Granite State. What’s more is that Donald Trump has taken credit for the newspaper being dropped, which he stated in a Tweet on Sunday afternoon.
The newspaper endorsed New Jersey governor Chris Christie in November and just a few weeks ago, published a front page editorial that slammed Trump.
The business mogul responded by saying that Christie pulled strings to have the defamatory article written. ABC News has defended the partnership split saying that they didn’t want a sense of bias on the stage.
The debate will take place as planned, but will be hosted by ABC alone.
