Father, Son Face Drug Charges After Lebanon Arrest

A father and a son are facing drug charges after being arrested at a motel in Lebanon. On Thursday last week, 37-year old Thomas Avery and his son, 18-year old Dylan Avery, both of Barre Vermont, were found with nearly $50,000 of heroin and 1.6 ounces of marijuana.

Authorities say that they responded to a tip from Vermont State Police that Dylan and Thomas Avery were at West Lebanon’s Baymont Inn on Airport Road, where Lebanon police executed a search of their room and found the drugs.

Both Averys were charged with possession of controlled drugs, with Dylan also charged with possession of controlled drugs with intent to distribute. Dylan is being held at the Grafton County Department of Corrections on $100,000 bail while Thomas was released on $2500 personal recognizance bail.

Both family members are scheduled for arraignments to occur later this month and into January.
