There was plenty of action in New London even after Gov. Kasich’s visit as a rollover on an Interstate 89 off ramp Sunday morning tied up authorities for the better part of an hour.
According to New Hampshire State Police, the driver a pickup truck was not injured when he lost control shortly after 9:30 Sunday morning in the northbound lane of Interstate 89. The vehicle rolled over at least once according to authorities, though the driver – who is not being identified by police – managed to escape from the wreck unscathed.
The off-ramp was temporarily closed by police for about 45 minutes while crews worked to remove the vehicle. Police say conditions were slippery during the time of the accident, and that the driver said he lost control while attempting to switch lanes.
Members of the New London police and fire departments assisted state police at the scene.
