Authorities Continue Search For Charlestown Bank Robber
News of an ongoing investigation as police continue to search for an unidentified male alleged to have robbed a Charlestown bank Tuesday afternoon.
Police say the individual entered the Mascoma Savings Bank on Main Street shortly before 3 p.m., and displayed what appeared to be a firearm while demanding money.
The man is described as being between 20 and 30-years old, about 130 pounds and had a dark beard at the time of the robbery. Charlestown Police was assisted at the scene by officers from the Sullivan County Sheriff’s Department, the Claremont and Springfield police departments, and both New Hampshire and Vermont State Police.
However, the combined forces were unable to apprehend a suspect after an extensive search. Police did not release if – or how much money – the suspect may have gotten away with, and are asking anyone with information on their investigation to contact them at (603)-826-5747.
