Solar Site Proposed on 3-Acre Plot at Foot of Mt. Ascutney

Both the West Windsor Selectboard and Planning Commission were notified that MFW Associates, LLC, is proposing to build a 500 kilowatt net-metered solar farm on about 3 acres of land in the town.

The exact spot is at the intersection of Route 44 and Ski Tow Road which is at the bottom of Mount Ascutney. The site would sit at least 50 feet from adjacent property lines and at least 100 feet back from the roadway. MFW is predicting that they will filing a petition for a Certificate of Public Good by November 20th and is planning to install 2,250 panels within a perimeter fence.

As with any other similar project, the Planning Commission can weigh in and make recommendations or suggestions to the Public Service Board at least a week before the petition is filed.
