Sunapee Driver Who Fled Scene of Crash Identified Out of State
SUNAPEE – Nearly four days after a driver in a single-car accident in Sunapee fled the scene of the crash, have identified the man but he is currently out of state.
The crash occurred shortly before 11 p.m. Monday evening in the area of Brook Road on Route 103. When officers arrived on the scene, they discovered a black Chevy pickup truck that had traveled through a guardrail and over an embankment.
Officers couldn’t locate the operator at the scene, even with the assistance of a New Hampshire State Police canine unit.
According to the police report, evidence found at the scene suggest alcohol was involved in the accident. Officers from the New London and Newbury police departments were also on the scene.
