More news out of Dartmouth College tonight where school administrators continue to analyze and combat the prevalence of sexual assault on their campus. The challenge is increasing as statistics from 2014 of reported sexual assault cases have shown a rise in the number of reported cases from 2013.
This report was released on October 1st as part of the Clery Act, which is a federal law that governs campus security policy and the release of campus crime statistics.
According to the report, the number of rape and nonconsensual sexual contact rose from 35 to 55 from 2013 to 2014.
Now it should be noted that this report only considers cases of sexual assault that have been reported so there may be more than what is shown in the report.
