Head On Collision in Sunapee Sends Two to Hospital

Two people were sent to the hospital Tuesday afternoon in a head on collision in Sunapee New Hampshire.

The accident occurred around 3:00 PM on Route 103, west of Nutting Road. The drivers of both vehicles were the only people in the cars and were transported to New London Hospital with unknown injuries. Police say in a press release that the vehicles were traveling in opposite directions when the crash happened and that the westbound vehicle had crossed over the centerline into oncoming traffic.

The driver of the vehicle told Sunapee police that she was distracted when reaching over to get something in the passenger’s compartment, thus losing attention and drifting over the line.

At this time, neither speed nor alcohol were believed to have been involved and police are asking anyone who may have witnessed the crash to call Sunapee Police at 603-763-5555.
