A Massachusetts man who police say was a major heroin supplier to Southern Vermont was sentenced to serve 5 to 10 years in prison last week. 29-year-old Jonathan Stack of Holyoke, Mass., pleaded guilty to heroin trafficking September 2 at the Windsor Superior Court, after a sting operation by the Windsor and Hartford Police Departments.
Stack was arrested in November of 2014 after setting up a deal to sell 40 grams of heroin to an undercover individual at the Exit 8 park-and-ride.
Stack served 34 days at the Southern State Correctional Facility in Springfield, Vermont back in 2014 due to heroin possession conviction related to a drug bust at a Hartford home. Stack will serve his 5 to 10-year sentence at the same Springfield facility.
