Keurig Moving Base of Operations From Vermont to Switzerland
Keurig is leaving Vermont and setting up its base of operations across the ocean in Switzerland. The coffee-buying operations are being moved from Waterbury for the company to enjoy a lower tax rate in the country.
Keurig has since reported that employee relocations have been completed since an announcement in December that they would be moving. The company will take the name Keuring Trading Sarl in the European country and Reuters calls the move “entirely legal”.
In August, Keurig had announced that it would lay off around 200 Vermonters, to which Governor Shumlin held a job fair to help those laid off employees find a new job.
