An update on a fatal collision between a vehicle and a pedestrian Friday night in Claremont, New Hampshire. Police say 44-year-old Christa Osgood was pronounced dead at the scene, after her and 45-year-old Kenneth Lavigne, of Newport, were struck by a 2008 GMC van on Charlestown Road.
The collision occurred shortly after 8 p.m. Friday night, near the New Hampshire Community Federal Credit Union while the two were out on a walk. Lavigne was transported to Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center where he was listed in stable condition.
Police have not identified the driver of the vehicle, but they said the individual is cooperating with their ongoing investigation. Osgood was the mother of two 14-year-old twin sons.
