Trial of Accused Rapist From Tunbridge VT Continues

The trial of a Tunbridge, Vermont man accused of raping a 15-year-old girl continued today, as the accuser took to the stand to testify. The unidentified girl told jurors she was in pain and felt “frozen” during her encounter with then 18-year-old Owen Labrie in a dorm room at the St. Paul’s preparatory school in Concord, NH.

Prosecutors say the rape occurred as part of a school tradition called “Senior Salute” where seniors try to have sex with underclassmen.

Labrie has pleaded not guilty to several felony charges, however, arguing that the two had consensual sexual contact – which is still a misdemeanor considering the accuser’s age.
