Vermont Announces Plan to Increase Speed of Health Plan Processing

There are less Vermonters waiting for changes for their health plans to be processed. Governor Shumlin’s office announced a change in procedure which started at the end of May and has resulted in the backlog of customers waiting for those health care changes to be reduced by more than half. The backlog currently stands below 45-hundred down from around 10-thousand.

When the new functionality was deployed in May, it allowed requests to be made immediately over the phone with Vermonters. Prior to the deployment of the new functionality, this was not possible.
