NH Fish & Game Department Considers Raising License Fees

The cost of hunting and fishing could be going up in 2016. License fees could increase by 10 dollars next year under a proposal from the N.H. Fish and Game Department. The increases were authorized by the Legislature to fill a 1-point-2 million dollar hole in the Department’s proposed budget for this biennium. They would take effect January 1, 2016 and the N.H. Fish and Game Commission approved moving forward with the rule-making process.

The NH Fish and Game Executive Director stated that it wasn’t a matter of IF prices should be raised but which prices should be raised and by how much. Public comment is being requested at this time and you can visit www.wildlife.state.nh.us for more information.
