Welcome to the Yankee Chronicle. I’m your host Abby Peel . We are coming to you from the Lake Sunapee Protective Association overlooking our beautiful Sunapee Harbor. The LSPA has been encouraging stewardship of Lake Sunapee and its surrounding watershed since 1898. Today we’ll hear from executive director Elizabeth Harper about their mission, new collaborations, new equipment and all toward protecting this wonderful resource. We’ll be back at Sunapee’s Abbott Library to see what they have lined up for July. We’ll get a rundown of a July 4th celebration on Main Street in Newport and get a teaser for Newbury’s Old Home Day. And I’ll close with Maura Beatty, a Burkhaven Fellow developing a Cyanobacteria Monitoring Protocol for the LSPA.
