The top seeded Rutland Raiders came into this finals matchup with an impressive undefeated record of 22 and 0 while the Mt. Mansfield Cougars held the 3rd seed and a record of 18 and 5. The Raiders were the favorites but the Cougars have played well as of late and took down second ranked Rice in the semis so anything was possible.
