High Speed Chase Ends in Crash Along I89 in Enfield

A Salem New Hampshire man has been arrested after he led state police on a high-speed car chase late last night from Manchester to Enfield.

Police say 42 year old Christopher O’Dwyer was seen speeding through a construction zone in Londonderry in a stolen GMC Sierra pickup truck with massachusetts license plates. Police attempted to pull O’Dwyer over, but refused – reaching speeds of up to 115 miles per hour heading north on I-93 and later turned onto I-89.

The police following him tried twice to flatten his tires and was able to successfully deploy spike strips near Exit 2 in Concord. The chase continued on for about 46 more miles before O’Dwyer was unable to drive any further and came to a stop in Enfield.

He was arrested and charged with receiving stolen property, reckless conduct, disobeying an officer, and conduct after an accident. O’Dwyer refused bail and was arraigned in court earlier today.
