New London Hospital Receives Designation of “Most Wired”

A local hospital has received an award that is undoubtedly the product of the 21st Century. New London Hospital in none other than New London, has been honored with the “Most Wired” designation, part of the annual Health Care’s Most Wired survey of the American Hospital Association’s Health Forum.

What does this mean? Most Wired measures how much the information technology (IT) of a certain hospital benefits the patients and employees alike. The survey, in its 18th year, is published every year by the Health and Hospitals Networks and was conducted between January 15th and March 15th this year.

The study is a leading industry barometer that measures IT and its adoption in hospitals across the nation. Over 2100 hospitals were examined this year and New London Hospital was given the designation for the fifth year in a row.
