The Lebanon Police Department has issued a warning in regards to a potentially lethal batch of heroin/fentanyl being distributed throughout the city.
According to Lebanon police, the warning was issued Wednesday in response to a pair of non-fatal calls involving the drug. Crews from the Lebanon police and fire departments responded to the calls Wednesday, and said they used the drug Narcan in both instances to revive those involved.
Police said they are unable to determine if the heroin/fentanyl was sold under a specific street name, or how the drug found its way into the area.
Wednesday’s warning is the second such warning about a potentially lethal batch of the drug in recent months, as Lebanon police made a similar announcement last fall.
Police say they will release more information on their on-going investigation as it becomes available, and are asking anyone with knowledge of this particular batch to contact them at 603-448-1212.
