Well there were absolutely no home games on the docket Monday night, but there was still some pretty significant sports news to come out of the night.
That’s because Hanover senior Matti Hartman became just the second player in program history to reach the 200-point mark last night, notching five goals and four assists in the girls hockey team’s 14-3 victory over Exeter.
Hartman – who announced this summer her commitment to play collegiate hockey at Northeastern University – tallied her 100th career goal earlier in the season, before her nine-point effort last night put her at 205 career points. Only assistant coach Josie Fisher has more career points at 257.
Hartman reached the milestone in the first period with two assists and a wrap-around goal in the opening frame. The Marauders are now 8-1-1 and will travel to face Berlin-Gorham Wednesday.
