Four Springfield Men Arrested For Local Burglaries
Four Springfield Vermont men, including three who were arrested by Chester Police just last month, were arrested again earlier this week in connection with numerous burglaries earlier this fall.
According to Vermont State Police, 59-year-old David Farnsworth and his son, 26-year-old Michael Farnsworth, committed several burglaries in order to support their heroin habit.
Police say 23-year-old Zachary McNeill accompanied the pair on numerous occasions, and that 26-year-old Joshua Congdon was involved in at least one burglary. The thefts occurred in the towns of Andover, Ludlow, Cavendish, Weathersfield, Springfield and West Windsor, leading to months of unrest in several communities.
Police charged the four with various counts of burglary, petee larceny, selling stolen property and unlawful mischief, and the men are scheduled to appear in criminal court later this month to answer the charges.
Both David and Michael Farnsworth, and McNeill were arrested late last month on similar charges involving an approximate $40,000 worth of thefts.
