Residents of several Vermont communities can rest a little easier over the holidays after Chester Police made four arrests Tuesday related to a string of recent robberies in the area.
According to a press release issued by Chester Police, officers arrested four men from nearby Springfield on allegations they were responsible for approximately $40,000 worth of thefts. Police apprehended 26-year-old Michael Farnsworth, 59-year-old David Farnsworth, 23-year-old Zaqchary McNeil, and 24-year-old Paige Hillcock without incident, after a lengthy investigation in conjunction with the Springfield, Weathersfield and Ludlow police departments, as well as Vermont State Police.
The four were charged with burglary, grand larceny, possession of stolen property, unlawful mischief and aiding in the commission of a felony, and are scheduled to be arraigned in Windsor County Superior Court in the coming days.
In the meantime, Chester Police are asking anyone in surrounding communities who’ve had property stolen but haven’t yet reported it, to do so, so that items can be recovered.
