A local teen from Charlestown NH has received a scholarship for representing the voice of democracy. Patrick Moody has taken first place in the Veterans of Foreign Wars District 2 Voice of Democracy Scholarship Program.
To win, entrants must have written and recorded a patriotic-themed script, no longer than 5 minutes, within this year’s theme: My Vision for America.
WNTK Radio reports that after having won against 34 other students from Fall Mountain Regional High School, Moody will move on to represent his district at the Department level. This competition will end with an award ceremony in Manchester, with multiple scholarships being given out to the top winners, the most being $1500 for first place.
The winner will move on to the nation’s Capital to represent New Hampshire. We wish Patrick luck as he continues to represent the voice of democracy.
