Colby-Sawyer College Welcomes New Trustee
Colby-Sawyer College in New London has elected a new trustee. During their meeting on October 16th, the college’s Board of Trustees elected William T. “Bill” Hopwood to join their ranks, beginning on January 1st of 2016. His term will last three years until 2019.
Colby-Sawyer College’s website explains that Bill comes from a background of varied experiences, including running Springhouse Energy Systems, which helps wind energy developers become involved in utility class and commercial wind energy development. Bill is also a co-trustee of the John M. Hopwood Charitable Trust which supports a variety of programs that emphasize environmental and energy programs.
In addition, Bill is also the founder and president of An Environmental Trust Incorporated which funds environmental projects. The board of trustees welcomes Bill and his family to the college’s network.
