News out of Dartmouth College: The Ivy League school has received a nearly one million dollar grant to increase cyber-security within the campus. The school received the grant from the Cyber Resilient Energy Delivery Consortium, which is a project from the US Department of Energy.
Dartmouth is part of a group of colleges included in a $28.1 effort to create and support cyber-attack resistant networks for electric power and oil companies as well as gas industries.
There are 11 other colleges and laboratories involved in this initiative, including MIT, Ohio State University, and Arizona State University with the University of Illinois spearheading the project.
Dartmouth College has been a partner in this massive cyber security project since it was conceived 10 years ago.
