Sunapee Central Elementary School Celebrates International Dot Day
The Sunapee Central Elementary School celebrated International Dot Day at the school Tuesday. Students made in the school library dot art, dot bracelets, created dot art on ipads, and wore clothing with dots to celebrate the day.
Students also last week created dot art work that is displayed in the halls of the school. According to school librarian Heidi Doyle Dot Day was inspired by a children’s book “The Dot” by Peter Reynolds.
The book tells the story of a young girl who thinks she can not draw and is inspired by her art teacher to create art after she puts a single dot on a piece of paper.
Sunapee students celebrate International Dot Day with over 4 million people from 115 countries around the world.
