Lebanon Man Arrested for Witness Tampering

A Lebanon man who was arrested for possession of over two pounds of marijuana, as well as mushrooms, has been arrested once again, this time for threatening a witness.

33 year old Matthew Clair of Lebanon had been released on five thousand dollars personal recognizance bail for his October 12th arrest, however on Sunday Lebanon police received a report that Clair had threatened a witness in his drug distribution case. An investigation revealed that Clair had threatened the witness several times via text message, and had also stolen property and demanded payment for its return.

Clair was arrested on Monday and charged with Tampering with Witnesses, Theft by Unauthorized Taking and Breach of Bail Conditions. He was held on ten thousand dollars cash bail and is set to be arraigned on October 27 in the Lebanon District Division, New Hampshire Second Circuit Court.
