New Hampshire State Police say that around 10:30 Wednesday night, they responded to I-89 southbound near Exit 20 in Lebanon. State troopers from Troop D and the Lebanon Police Department arrived on the scene to find a black 2006 Pontiac Torrent had hit a white 2011 white BMW X3.
The Pontiac’s driver, 27-year old Bianca M. Williams of Illinois, became distracted for an unknown reason while driving southbound and hit the guardrail in the travel lane. Her car rolled back into the travel lane and was broadsided by the BMW, driven by 76-year old Peter Tourin of Jericho, Vermont. Him and his passenger, 75-year old Jean S. Twombly of Springfield, New Hampshire were both transported to Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center for treatment.
Williams was also brought to the hospital as the lone occupant in the Pontiac and was treated there as well. The interstate near Exit 20 was shut down for roughly 3 hours and southbound traffic was detoured during the cleanup and investigation.
If you have any information on the incident, you’re asked to call Trooper Derek Myrdek at 603-223-8944.
