Local Businessman Sheds Light on Affordable Housing in Warner

New Hampshire is a great place to live and work. However, one of the difficult conundrums for retaining our young people and even providing housing for professionals is the lack of living units at all economic levels. YCN caught up with Darryl Parker, owner of Schoodacs Coffee and Tea shop in Warner, who recently posted his thoughts on his Facebook page. He said he has a couple 20-somethings working for him and they just can’t find a place to live in the area.

Looking into the problem, he found that there is nothing available at the entry level in this area. He told us that around 60% of high school students that leave the state for college do not return, largely due to this problem. YCN asked him what people could do.
