Top 5 Moments From Combined Spring Sports 2016

Early this summer, we showed you the top 5 plays from each sport during this past Spring. Today we’ll be airing the top 5 overall moments from across all sports and genders.

First up is the 5th selection, The Kearsarge cougars girls lacrosse team came up just short losing to Laconia in the championship by one goal during the final seconds of the game. But the Cougars held their heads high as they played an outstanding game and even joined Laconia for a team picture after the loss as Kearsarge’s sportsmanship was on display.

Up next is number 4, Lexie Hamilton from Sunapee was able to crush a late go-ahead solo homer during the division four championship game. This run would be the deciding factor in the game as the Lakers went on to win 2 to 1.

Next is number 3, Molly Seibel from Hanover was able to score the championship winning overtime goal during the division two championship game against Portsmouth to cap a dramatic comeback finish.

Now to the second pick, Kuba Kubowski from Littleton, came up to bat with the bases loaded and the game tied in the bottom of the 7th, during the division four championship game against Sunapee. He would be hit by a pitch to force in the winning run to give Littleton a dramatic come from behind championship victory.

And finally to the number one moment, Hanover’s Perrin Milliken was able to score a goal with 2.7 second remaining to tie the game during the division two championship girls lacrosse game between Hanover and Portsmouth.

This would ultimately lead to an overtime championship victory for the Marauders.
