Vermont Woman Arrested for Trafficking Crack Cocaine
Vermont State Police say that Thursday morning, they arrested 19-year old Amber French of Barre, Vermont in Rockingham. She was pulled over on Interstate 91 and police were able to detect that she was in possession of crack cocaine.
Following a search of her person, officers found around two ounces of crack cocaine. She was taken into custody for charges of possession and trafficking of crack cocaine.
French was arraigned in front of Windham County Court Judge Katherine Hayes and was ordered held at the Southern State Correctional Facility for lack of $2,500 bail. Vermont State Police and local authorities continue to fight the growing opiate crisis in the Green Mountain State.
Arrests like Thursday morning’s and a large bust last week of over 1700 bags of heroin in White River Junction are proving that their work is indeed paying off.
