Top Five Softball Plays from Spring 2016

Today we’ll be showing you the YCN top five softball plays from this past Spring.

First up is number 5, Ryllie Brown from Stevens was able to crush a ball out to left center field. The ball rolled all the way to the fence which allowed Brown to score on an inside the park home run to put her team on the board against Monadnock.

Next is number 4, Ashley Thompson from Kearsarge was able to hit a home run against Fall Mountain back in April. She took this 1-2 pitch and crushed it over the left-center field fence.

Now to number 3, Katie Frederick from Sunapee was able to blast a solo homer against Gorham in the division four state championship game. The home run at the time put Sunapee up 1 to 0.

Next is number 2, Mikayla Makepeace from Raymond was able to pitch a 2 hitter against Stevens during the first round of the NHIAA division 3 playoffs en route to the win. Mikayla struck out 14 batters and had a no-hitter until the 5th inning.

And now the number one play from Spring 2016 softball, Lexie Hamilton was able to crush the go-ahead home run against Gorham during the division four championship game. This blast put the Lakers up 2 to 1 which would be the final score.
