Lebanon & Hanover Athletes Named to Baseball All-State Teams

The all-state baseball lineups have been announced so today we’ll be showing you highlights from the local players selected to represent their schools for division two.

The first and only local selection to make the 1st team was Lebanon shortstop Caleb Broughton. Caleb made solid contact all year and defensively, he was as good as anyone in the division. He helped lead his team to the division two quarter-finals.

Let’s turn to the second team: Hanover centerfielder Will Smith was chosen for his defense and his quick bat speed.

And finally to the third team: Lebanon’s starting pitcher Nate Perkins made the cut as he pitched strong all year long shutting down opposing batters. He also swung the bat very well as he provided some protection, hitting right behind Broughton.
