Kearsarge Girls Knock Down Bow with Blowout Win

On Wednesday, the Kearsarge Cougars softball team hosted the Bow Falcons.

Neither team came into this game with an above .500 record with Kearsarge at 4 and 9 and Bow at 2 and 9 but nonetheless, the Cougars and the Falcons were ready to battle it out. Ashley Thompson took the mound for Kearsarge and pitched what could’ve been her best performance of the year, pitching 7 scoreless innings, allowing just four hits while striking out nine.

She didn’t need her team to come through offensively but they did as they were able to beat the Falcons 10 to 0. Kearsarge head coach and Ashley Thompson as well as Bow head coach spoke to YCN after the game.

Kearsarge improves to 5 and 9 while Bow falls to 2 and 10. Both teams remain optimistic despite their less than perfect records. Kearsarge will take on Bishop Brady later Friday while Bow faces off against Pelham on Monday.
