Alcohol Possible Factor in Three Vehicle Accident

In Sunapee, police are investigating a three-vehicle accident that occurred Monday on Route 11. According to a press release, at around 2:30 in the afternoon Monday, Sunapee Police responded to Route 11 in Georges Mills near Jobs Creek Road for a reported 3-vehicle accident.

Two of the vehicles were traveling east on Route 11 and the third was traveling west when the westbound vehicle crossed the center line and hit both of the eastbound vehicles. All three vehicles were removed from the scene and the driver of the westbound vehicle was arrested and taken to New London Hospital where he had blood drawn to determine if alcohol was a factor in the crash, along with speed.

The Sunapee Police Department was assisted by Sunapee Fire and EMS and New London Hospital Ambulance personnel. The accident is still under investigation and police are asking anyone with any information on this accident to contact Sunapee Police at 603-763-5555.
