New Hampshire State Senator from Weare, Gerald Little, pursues his nomination to the New Hampshire Banking Department. This Friday, Senator Little of District 8 will take part in a public hearing by the New Hampshire Executive Council in regards to his nomination as the commissioner of the department, after having been nominated by Governor Maggie Hassan back in early February. District 8 comprises of several towns in our region, including New London, Sunapee, Sutton, Newport, Newbury, and more.
Senator Little is very much a friendly face as well, having been on multiple editions of YCN’s Capital Connections, offering insight into the life and duties of a New Hampshire State Senator. Pending his final appointment to the position of banking commissioner, his District 8 seat will remain open until the next election.
All members of the public are invited to attend and comment during the public hearing which is taking place this Friday in the Executive Council Chambers in the State House in Concord.
