On Friday in Hanover, in the name of preventing heart disease and stroke, a lunch was held to raise awareness for this important cause. The event was put on for Go Red for Women, which is the American Heart Association’s national movement to end heart disease and stroke in women, and took place at the Hanover Inn. YCN’s Lynn Solomon was there among 300 attendees and caught up with American Heart Association President Mark Creager.
Cardiovascular disease and stroke cause 1 in 3 women’s deaths each year and Go Red for Women works daily to eliminate this statistic.
