Police in Springfield Vermont have made yet another arrest on an outstanding warrant. Around 10:30 PM Thursday night, Officer Logan Defelice and Corporal Michael Gilderdale responded to an apartment building on Summer Hill in Springfield to search for a subject who had an active arrest warrant on him.
At the residence, police found 22-year-old Evan Willey, of Springfield, who was wanted on an outstanding warrant issued by Vermont Superior Court, Windsor Criminal Division. Willey was arrested without incident on the warrant for felony counterfeiting and possession.
Back in 2013, Willey, 18-years-old then, was arrested after he raided a refrigerator in a cooking classroom at Springfield High School. He was found eating a bagel and frozen yogurt by police in an adjacent room, claiming he was homeless and had no other choice.
After Thursday night’s arrest for counterfeiting, Willey was transported and lodged at the Southern State Correctional Facility.
