This story goes out to anyone interested in a future as a first responder, or those just looking to lend a helping hand within the community. The Sunapee Fire & EMS Department announced earlier this week that it’s seeking volunteers from community members to help in a variety of positions.
According to a press release posted on the town’s website, the department is willing to provide necessary training and equipment to interested volunteers, whether it be for potential firefighters or support staff.
The Sunapee Fire & EMS Department serves the community from two fire stations in Sunapee and Georges Mills, and has a fleet of three engines, a ladder, tanker, rescue and forestry vehicles, as well as a boat and off-road equipment.
Volunteer applications can be found on the town’s website, and anyone seeking additional information is asked to call Chief Dan Ruggles at 603-863-4109.
